Our Story

Speer’s Fine Jewelry is an independently owned and family-managed jewelry store. Our story began in 1950 when we opened Speer’s and it continues uninterrupted today. Three generations of our family has served three generations of the Greater Concord community.

Our knowledge is derived from formal education and years of diamond and precious stone trading, as well as years of watch bench experience. For two generations, we have focused on developing a wide ranging inventory of finished jewelry and time-keeping products. We offer an unusually large selection of finished jewelry, watches and clocks, and as always, exceptional service.

A large part of our inventory is created by our own goldsmiths and hand finished in our off-site facility. Some of our offerings are created by American design houses, as well as international manufacturers.

Speer’s offers a full range of repair services. Repairs are done in our store and in our off-site facility. We perform repairs that range from simple soldering to fully restoring antique jewelry. Our goal is to provide customers with high-quality repairs that extends the life of their jewelry for years to come. Whether the job is simple, such as sizing or engraving, or more involved such as re-cutting a diamond or gemstone or restoring the filigree work of an antique ring, you can be sure the work is performed with careful attention to detail, always respecting the wishes of our customers and the integrity of the jewelry under repair.

We also offer complete watchmaking services. We customarily overhaul watch movements and we also provide full restoration services on most brands, both Swiss and Japanese and America pocket watches. Of course, we gladly perform simple watch repair services, such as battery replacement, bracelet adjustment and crystal replacement.

Speer’s offers full engraving services. We are equipped to engrave on a range of metals including gold, platinum, and brass. Our expertise includes machine, computer, and hand engraving services. We engrave on jewelry, including inside ring engraving, lockets, watches, baby cups, and other gift items.
